Toyama Glass Studio’s Annual Autumn Event: Come One, Come All

This year’s theme is “Fun with Glass.” Participants can try working with glass and experience its various sensations by cutting, stretching, and blowing molten glass first-hand. There will also be a spirited competition between professional Toyama glass artists at the TGS Cup, a glassblowing contest to see who can blow the largest piece of glass. This year, the TGS Cup will take place in the evening so that viewers can appreciate the orange glow of the molten glass. Visitors can also participate in a collaborative glasswork event with studio staff and members of the Toyama Institute of Glass Art. Finally, there will be live music on the studio’s front lawn, a glass-themed open-air market, and a special two-day ten-percent-off sale in the studio shop. Come experience the wonderful world of glass.

Date: October 7th, 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
          October 8th, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Venue: Toyama Glass Studio (152 Furusawa, Toyama)
